About Julia Daurama

Julia Daurama is the artistic identity behind the Daurama Project.

Originally trained as an architect, her artistic practice is shaped by years of observing landscapes, cities and the relationship between people and place. Rather than depicting reality, her watercolours explore how memory, light and movement become part of visual experience.

The Daurama Project is built around a slow, process-oriented way of working. Water, pigment and paper interact in ways that cannot be fully controlled, allowing each painting to develop its own character. Structure and spontaneity are equally important, creating works that invite quiet observation rather than immediate explanation.

Between 2018 and 2025 these works were presented under the name Atelier Susieko. That period became a laboratory of experimentation, gradually leading to the visual language that now defines the Daurama Project.

Every painting is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork. Original watercolours are available for collectors, while commissions and collaborations are considered on selected projects.
